BBC Radio Update

Apparently I'm still on for the BBC Radio 5 US versus UK debate, and it seems I am up against Mike from Postcards from Across the Pond. It's my fault really, as I gave them his name.

There's only one little detail that's making me nervous - he is referring to the debate as being today, yet my discussions with the producer were all about Tuesday. I am going to sit tight till I get this sorted out.

Oh and another thing - they're sending a cab for him to take him to the Southern Counties studios. What am I - chopped liver?

  2. Good luck expatmum! I'll try and listen in if I'm awake then and listen to the replay. Can't wait! Good luck...to you and to Mike H - you'll be fine. Hxx

PS: The studios sound a lot better than the smelly closet. You and FFF seem to have a chord there :)

  7. Now that should be really interesting, I am going to listen in, can we call in with questions?

  8. Apparently you can call in. It's on at midnight Tuesday into Wed in the UK (because we're such big celebs) and 6pm Central time here. Then there's the Listen Later button on the web site.
No clever comments! I think Mike's been doing quite a bit of homework already!

  10. Best of luck. Wear your Stig outfit - that way if you decide to stay silent and impenatrable they won't be surprised... (though with it's being radio, perhaps it might lose a little of it's comic impact)

  11. Good luck! I will be doing the listen later option, as midnight is just too late when one's little treasures are currently awake at 5.45am...

  12. It's tonight, ie. Tuesday midnight, going into Wednesday. Who knew there could be so much confusion over the term Tuessday at midnight!

  14. How exciting. Have been catching up and laughing at your geordie language and your Mom pants etc (I know that one exactly - I had it from my Daughter years ago!). Anyway, I will be listening tonight as it's perfect timing for sitting up in bed reading. Also have been watching the ceremony today. It must be very exciting indeed to be there in the U.S.of A.
    An historic moment. M xx

  17. I'll have to "listen again" --can't believe I missed it but was so caught up in the Obama moment. Can you put a link on your website?

  18. The Listen Again button doesn't seem to link to the US/UK debate. Oh well.
