Thanks a lot....

As promised, I'm including a few photos of my birthday stash. I got quite a few nice bits and pieces, especially the fabulous choker which I chose myself in Colorado.

It has a certain rock-chick look to it (which I'm all for) but also looks good with more sedate garments, which is just as well as I have about two things that could qualify as remotely rock-chickish.

I also picked out a fab watch to add to my collection. This is a terrible photo and doesn't do it justice - sorry. It has mother of pearl and other sparkly bits in. A definite Art Deco look.

The piece de resistance however, came from my mother. She sent me some Next perfume which I had asked for, but it was the "surprise" part of the gift that took the biscuit.

Now, as most of you will appreciate, having three huge babies (two by c-section) tends to play havoc with the sillouette, but really! Can you make it out? Have you cottoned on yet?

Not one, but two pairs of Marks and Spencer "FIRM control knickers/panties!!!

All I can say is, they'd better bloody work!

  2. Ah - concrete knickers as my mother calls them. Last time I was in the UK for Christmas, my mother bought some for me and for my sister. My sister gave me hers, saying she'd rather wear her thong underwear thank you very much.

I bought an expensive pair for myself last Christmas that hold everything in from under the bust down to mid thigh. I have to say they do work quite nicely, but once you've got them on you'd better not need to go to the toilet. They're bloody difficult to get on and off. Definitely not sexy!

  3. Tee hee. I have a feeling that any males reading all this are by now sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling "Aggh, I'm not listening!".

  4. Well although I'd hate to admit to being grateful for being bought such a gift - definitely more useful than cheese-grater pnats eh? Tee hee.

  12. No.... do not do it..you are too young for chinnies! Did you know you can get jeans that "pull it all in?" Then you could wear a thong & feel sexy & thin!

  13. Never a thong! I'd be in a bad mood all day! But those bloody "chinnies" come up to about my armpits so I would have to be in drastic need of a tummy pull-in. Probably easier just to lose the belly flab!
