Recent Examples of my Razor Sharp Brain

These 8 year olds try it on don't they? But mine's no match for my sizzling brain, as you'll see:

Me: - Don't walk directly behind me. I can't see you.
8y/o - I thought you had eyes in the back of your head.
Me: - I've got a hat on though haven't I?

8y/o - I think my DS is broken.
Me: - Oh no, we'll have to be quick and send it back.
8y/o -  How can we send it back to Santa?
Me - Oh, the elves don't make the really technical gadgets. Santa gets them from the manufacturers just in case they go wrong.

(Phew.)

No flies on me!

  2. We're living parallel lives, you and I... (except of course you get to speak English, have lots of yummy food on tap, don't live in fear of having to bribe an official, and have had a book published, of course. Apart from that, though...)

  3. We could write books on mummy/mommy-isms!! Does it still work on your eldest, I wonder? I sometimes see my older step kids trying the same bluffs on me I remember from 5 or 6 years back... do they know they're the same, I wonder? Do they think I forgot them?

  4. Oh wow! That's very cute. I thought you had eyes at the back of your head. I wonder how many people she has told that to. About the whole Santa thing, remember to tell her she said that when she realizes Santa is not real!! That would be a priceless moment.

  6. You certainly were quick on your feet. I still have eyes in the back of my head to this day. I now use them to see what the cat and the dog are up to.
