At the Risk of Appearing Lazy....

We discussed clicky blogs a little while ago so I said I'd give more information when linking to other posts of mine that are up elsewhere.

This one is up at my Pond Parleys blog.  It's about words that you've either never really known the meaning of, or thought you did and then found out you were completely wrong.

It's even worse when you're an expat, but it's surprising how much it happens in your own language too!

  1. Hello,
I sometimes felt like I was my own personal interpreter in Chicago. Either the British were asking for a translation or the Americans. I wish I'd had your book back then. x

  2. My wife uses the phrase: "shooting fish in a barrel" quite a bit. I assumed it was a specifically American phrase, then I watched a British period drama and realised it was also English! lol

The more the merrier....
