This idea is totally stolen from the wonderful blog Red Ted Art. I didn't have the time to do the lantern shown in her vlog, so I improvised. If you're at all into crafty things, pop over to her blog. It's fantastic. I may never buy another thing again. Everything home made.
Anyway, here's my version of her Halloween lantern:
So easy. I happened to have these three square, glass candle holders, which I wrapped in tissue paper. (You don't even have to have orange. This is yellow and looks just as good.) The spooky Halloween designs are all over the Internet so I just copied them straight onto the paper with a black marker pen. If you're not as confident with your drawing ability, you could print them off and stick them on.
When Halloween is over, I just rip the paper off and they're back to normal.
Really spooky neat. What a great mom you are to keep the traditions, sans the stores!
ReplyDeleteOh I like these! Well done! Halloween is big here too and living in a compound means the door-bell will be ringing all night! Happy Halloween! X
ReplyDeleteLove them. You are really clever & it must have taken time to colour in the spooky motifs.

That's really neat, too bad we don't celebrate Halloween here.
ReplyDeleteClever clogs you are. Very good idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment about the children, messy rooms and stressful exams. Nice to know it is world wide, the panic and gloom. Happy Halloween.
