NY Resolutions for Brits in the USA

While we're on the subject of New Year resolutions, here's my current post at BBC America's Mind the Gap web site.

Happy New Year.

  1. I avoid the ponytail and ball cap too - maybe I'm British and just didn't know it - because I look completely ridiculous in one.

As a side note, I love getting a peek into all the differences between us. You really iron your pillowcases?!

Eddie - so happy to hear from you. Have left a comment over at yours. x

  3. My hair's too short for the cap/ponycombo so it's not an issue for me, but it really is practically a requirement for American moms, isn't it? Oh, and you'll probably be happy to know that 'plimsoll' has worked it's way into US vocabularies. Son#2 was using it, but I discounted that since he has so many British classmates. However, when Son#2 arrived in Seoul fresh from his Texas Uni campus and used it, I knew it must be out in the general public. Happy New Year!
