NY Resolutions for Brits in the USA

While we're on the subject of New Year resolutions, here's my current post at BBC America's Mind the Gap web site.

Happy New Year.

I avoid the ponytail and ball cap too - maybe I'm British and just didn't know it - because I look completely ridiculous in one.

As a side note, I love getting a peek into all the differences between us. You really iron your pillowcases?!

My hair's too short for the cap/ponycombo so it's not an issue for me, but it really is practically a requirement for American moms, isn't it? Oh, and you'll probably be happy to know that 'plimsoll' has worked it's way into US vocabularies. Son#2 was using it, but I discounted that since he has so many British classmates. However, when Son#2 arrived in Seoul fresh from his Texas Uni campus and used it, I knew it must be out in the general public. Happy New Year!
