Soundtrack to my Life

So, power blogger (as in, doing multiple, impressive other things while maintaining her blog Typecast) Nickie O'Hara, has the Soundtrack to my Life on her blog today.

And it's my life.

I've never been invited to do anything like that before and it was quite the experience. There are obviously songs that jump out as meaningful from various stages in your life. In my case, however, they weren't particularly cool, so I had a bit of a re-think. Truth is, I like a lot of music and it's really impossible for me to come up with my "best song ever" Fortunately, it's about your life rather than the one's that possibly make you want to get up and dance, so I went back to the original songs that are meaningful to me, coolness be damned.

Pop over and have a look.

Oh and I have to say, in her flattering introduction, Nickie makes me sound like Mother Theresa, and her like some juvenile delinquent, which neither of us are. There may have been an occasion or two where I've gently encouraged her to breathe before responding to a blog comment, but that's about all.

Thanks Nickie.

  1. It was a pleasure to host your Soundtrack To My Life - I love reading about the "moments" in other people's lives so it's a joy to publish it each week.

  3. Of course you are like Mother Theresa :) My soundtrack of my life would sound a lot more tacky, less classy, I am afraid. Somehow a couple of rude hip hop kinda guys have made it on my soundtrack - and I don't even listen to that much hip hop. Weird.
