I won't be doing this every week, but I've launched a new Chicago-centric blog over at Chicago Now (a Tribune company). Very excited as it will give me a chance to rant blog about things here in Chicago without boring the pants off everyone else.
ALW - It's weird because it's completely man-made. The actual landscape is flat as a pancake and looking out onto a lake that's so big you can't see the other side and has no waves (or "real" waves anyway). The beauty is in the skyline and the architecture. Must go and have a look at the fire hydrants. Can't seem to remember them being that unusual.
Good for you. I hope they pay better for this in the US than they do in Russia (as in, not at all - just call me a mug!). And I wasn't bored by your basement stories, btw! Plus - PLUS - I clicked through. So there...
Tattie - I'll put a link down the side or something. It's not really what I usually cover here so I know a lot of people won't really be interested in me ranting on about our corrupt politicians and crappy sewer system.
You weren't boring us Toni. Congratulations on the new blog!
ReplyDeleteMy mother said Chicago was a beautiful city and even the fire hydrants were like art works. Must get there but not in the winter...

ReplyDeleteBrilliant news - but you will be giving us links so we get our fix won't you?
