Spring time in Chicago
View from my front door.
I could have sworn it was supposed to be the start of spring the other day? Apparently not in Chicago, or at least in my street. This stuff is swirling all over the place, wet and heavy. And it's been going on for too long now. Not funny. I have even put one pair of snow boots away!
The photo was yesterday. Today the sun is shining brilliantly and the sky is a bright blue, with not a cloud in sight. Very, very pretty but somehow getting old, as they say over here.

Lovely photograph.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I feel for you. Here in Canada it is finally melting away, glad to say chilly but sunny and clear here today. Hopefully this late in the season it your snow will disappear quickly :)
ReplyDeleteI was complaining about the snow too...but now the sun has come out and it's all spring again! Have a lovely easter!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Try to get to Vindolanda if you can while in Northumberland.
ReplyDeletePretty.... but pretty cold eh?
ReplyDeleteWe loved it as kids and as adults just want to see the end. Shame about growing up sometimes. ;0)
Thank's for reminding me why I like southern England so much. Bad as the weather is here this weekend, I'm not out shoveling anything.
ReplyDeletewe had some snow last night back here in the NE expatmum but it didn't last the first bit of sunshine in the morning. It was beautiful, although unless it warms up soon we won't have much furniture left to burn, sigh
ReplyDeleteJust read the forecast here in the Pacific NW - chance of snow mixed in with early morning rain! Ofcourse this would happen just as we've taken the winter tyres off the car!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lot of people are having weird weather. I have to say that even though it's still freezing (literally) in Chicago, the sun is shining, which somewhat lifts the spirits. Thank god for our upcoming week long break in Florida though.
ReplyDeleteOh, lovely! On a picture! Nice to see your view! We had a tiny few flakes fall yesterday. Today is sunny but very cold!
ReplyDeleteWe have a smattering of snow but nowt like that!
ReplyDeleteHi Girlies, just wanted to join the party ... we are having gorgious autumn weather here in gaucho land. Hot sun and blue, blue sky. Actually, we were on the beach on Good Friday - soz!
